Jimi Hendrix biopic 'won't include his original music'

Washington, July 4 (ANI): Jimi Hendrix's biopic 'All Is By My Side', starring OutKast's Andre 3000, won't actually include any of the late singer's music, it has been revealed.

According to the Rolling Stone magazine, since the late guitarist's estate has denied permission to use his songs, the movie will be using Andre 3000-sung covers of the Beatles, Elmore James and Muddy Waters, the Washington Post reported.

However, the producers of the biopic don't seem to be very upset about the absence of Hendrix's songs as they never asked for the rights in the first place.

According to producer Sean Mckittrick, the biopic was always supposed to be set in London between 1966-1967, which was before the release of 'Are You Experienced', the album that launched Hendrix to rock and roll stardom. (ANI)
