London, April 17 (ANI): Howard Schultz, the chairman and CEO of Starbucks, has revealed that the best way to make a cup of coffee - is to use a Bodum French press - a coffee presser brand.
Schultz says the coffee presser results in 'the best cup of coffee known to mankind.'
In an interview with Business Week, Schultz explains that the French press brings out 'oils, flavor and essence of blends,'the Daily Mail reported.
A 1lb bag of coffee beans should make approximately 30 - 40 cups of coffee dependent on cup size, strength of coffee and weighing measurements.
A bag of coffee beans purchased from Starbucks costs roughly 14 dollars.
That means if Schultz is using his own brand of beans when making the coffee at home, each cup costs him about 46 cents.
That is in comparison to the 2.01 dollars a tall cup of coffee comes in Manhattan when local taxes are added to the bill.
He also instructs readers 'Don't buy preground coffee,' which is at odds with the various lines of ground and packaged coffee Starbucks offer consumers in supermarkets.
In the article he describes the 'best way to make coffee at home,' stating: 'the French press should not be on a burner, transfer the coffee to a thermos. Drink it within an hour or two, at the max.'
Starbucks sell the coffee presser on their website for 19.95 dollars. (ANI)
