Washington, Apr 15 (ANI): Marc Anthony reportedly wanted to reconcile with ex wife Jennifer Lopez, but decided to file for divorce when she told him that she's madly in love with her new boyfriend Casper Smart.

Marc filed for divorce Monday - nine months after the couple announced they were splitting, TMZ.com reported.

But according to sources close to Anthony, he didn't make the decision on his own-he had a heart-to-heart with the Latin diva a few weeks back to see if she really, truly wanted to end the marriage.

He said he wanted to give the marriage another try, but Lopez confessed that she was deeply in love with Smart and wanted to pursue that relationship.

Sources said that Anthony was blindsided, he had not idea things were so serious and was hurt. (ANI)
