Depp, Jolie to star in 'The Tourist'?

Washington, November 05 (ANI): Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie may soon share the screen in new film 'The Tourist.'

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star is reportedly in negotiations to strike a deal with Graham King's GK Films, which will finance and distribute the movie in association with Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Depp will presumably play the role of an American tourist who enters the life of a female Interpol agent in search of a criminal who had been her lover.

Earlier, 'Avatar' star Sam Worthington was expected to play the lead but had quit over creative differences, reports Variety.

Also, director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck had stepped out.

Now, Alfonso Cuaron along with others is in contention to replace him.

Depp has collaborated with King in The Rum Diary and the Gore Verbinski-directed animated pic Rango in the past.

The film is scheduled to start production in February next year. (ANI)
